WINSTON-SALEM, NC (MARKET WIRE) Southern Community Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: SCMF) (NASDAQ: SCMFO) (the "Company"), the holding company for Southern Community Bank and Trust, reported operating results for the second quarter of 2007. For the three month period ended June 30, 2007, net income was $1.93 million or $0.11 per diluted share versus a net loss of $1.43 million or $0.08 per diluted share for the same period in 2006.
