TORONTO, ONTARIO (MARKET WIRE) Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (TSX: FFH)(NYSE: FFH) announced today that it has acquired, through its subsidiaries, 828,500 subordinate voting shares of CanWest Global Communications Corp., bringing its total holdings in the company to 13,390,300 subordinate voting shares or approximately 13.46% of the total subordinate voting shares outstanding.
